Top 10 Worst Behaved Sports Personalities by Chua Kee Peow The sporting world has seen some pretty bad behaviors and below are the top 10 winners of the worst behaved sports personalities: Number 10 George Karl - Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach and former Seattle Supersonics Head Coach George is one loud coach. He can be seen screaming along the sidelines throughout the game at his players or the referees. There have been a few arguments with the referees, which resulted in technical foul shots being awarded to the other team. Number 9 David Coulthard - Formula One driver for McLaren-Mercedes team He made an obscene gesture at Michael Schumacher when the latter tried to overtake him during a race this season. Though he apologized publicly later, it is public knowledge that he and the 2000 Formula One Champion are not the best of friends. Number 8 John McEnroe - former US tennis player Temper, temper. Millions all over the world have seen his foul temper on the court, racket throwing incidents and arguments with the umpire. Need I say more? Number 7 Patrick Vieira - Arsenal and France soccer player He has amassed a huge number of yellow and red cards. Was handed a long period of suspension for a charge of bringing the game to disrepute. Can you imagine that a player with such a poor disciplinary record has won the World Cup and European Championship with France? Number 6 Latrell Sprewell - New York Knicks player and former Golden State Warriors player He grabbed the neck of coach, PJ Carlisemo, and they wrestled to the ground. The NBA later suspended him for one year and he was waived by the Warriors. He was never known to get along well with people, I guess. Number 5 Diego Maradona - former Napoli player & captain of Argentina He shot at reporters with his gun, took all kinds of drugs and stimulants and was controversial to say the least. I'm very surprised that with such behaviors, he can still be the Player of the Century. Do you still remember the Hand of God goal he scored? Number 4 Neil Ruddock - former Liverpool and West Ham United player This is the man whose name Andrew Cole of Manchester United would not want to hear because he broke the latter's leg. Furthermore, he also has tons of yellow and red cards to his name and I reckon he must have been trying to end some careers when he picked up those cards. Ask Patrick Vieira, and he will tell you that he and Ruddock have no love lost between them. Number 3 Mike Tyson - Former Heavyweight Champion He bit both of Evander Holyfield's ears during a bout. Who says boxing is not a violent sport? Number 2 Dennis Rodman - former Chicago Bulls player Dennis the Menace - how aptly named. He has been ejected from the basketball court for so many times that I had lost count. Though I'm a huge admirer of the former great Bulls team with Michael Jordan and co., Dennis never seem to fit into that dream team. Number 1 Paolo Di Canio - former Sheffield Wednesday player and captain of West Ham United.
Harry Redknapp is really something in making Paolo the captain of his West Ham United team. Paolo pushed a referee to the ground during a match when he was with Sheffield Wednesday. Talk about respect for the man in black! That's why I put him as the Number 1 baddy sports personality. Note:
